Metkinen Oy laboratory has its main focus on research for cholesterol-lowering agents (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors). Since 1994 our experts have developed Production and Downstream Technologies for Lovastatin, Compactin and Pravastatin, as well as solved a number of theoretical and practical scientific problems in the field.
Unique know-how for obtaining high-productive microorganisms for pharmaceutical production is successfully applied it to various products under contract research service.
Looking ahead we are constantly in search for new promising projects. They are mostly based on collecting and analyzing up-to-date life science news. In co-operation with experts in pharmacology, applied medicine, microbiology and biochemistry we outline tasks and plan research milestones.
